The Facilitator Training
Is this you?
This training is held over five months and is for people who have completed at least one of the Sitting with Death and Choosing Life courses, such as the Essential Skills for Grieving Well or Deep Discovery Conversations. The training will support you to gather your own groups and to facilitate the Sitting with Death and Choosing Life Foundation Course.
You will be supported by Rose Diamond (programme creator) and Sundy Gilchrist (an experienced Foundation Course Facilitator), and by your training group throughout the training, and then while you run your first group; with ongoing support thereafter.
This is an opportunity to really make a difference in your community by guiding people to sit with their grief and loss – both personal and grief for our world – so that they can gather the gifts of grief and move through grief to fully choose life. For the right people this work is deeply fulfilling and growthful and it will support you as you make the essential shifts of consciousness we are all called to make now.
It lights up my day every time I meet with a group and witness the expansion of consciousness that always happens. It thrills me to see the people who have chosen to join me as facilitators growing in confidence, motivation and love. It fills me with awe that the “right” people find their way to this programme.

The Practice of Sitting with Death and Choosing Life is a transformational process.
In these chaotic times, those of us who want to be part of the solution to humanity’s problems need to maintain a loving, empowered state of consciousness. It is so much easier to do this when you are held in unconditional space by a like-hearted, intentional group. Facilitating the Foundation Course will support you to stay present, to keep focused and to move forward in your chosen direction, even through the hardest times. And, in turn, you will support the people in your groups to do this too.
As a facilitator team, the longer we meet together, the deeper and stronger the connection between us grows and therefore the more we can be a force for good.
“During the Facilitator Training I was able to contain extraordinary life circumstances which would normally have completely thrown me. The work we had already done together in the Essential Skills course enabled me to surrender to the right timing of the events that unfolded and to let go of judgment. This alerted me to the fact that in a training course such as this, the most important learning is not what you expect. I was able to move through stress, to feel valid and useful, and reach a level of self-acceptance and acceptance of life, as a result of the support I received from Rose and the group. This was beautiful and unusual. The group was an anchor in a stormy sea. My experience has been liberating and fertile. I’m disintegrating and dying to old ways in the cycle of life, death and rebirth, and I’m excited by what’s growing.”
– Janie Nolan-
“The facilitator’s group has been a safe, supportive space and a life raft during a difficult time of transition.”
– Mark Mullis.-
You will be provided with all the resources you need to run the Foundation Course.
The Sitting with Death and Choosing Life stimulus materials will enable you to facilitate others to explore death, dying, grief, loss, transformation and conscious choice.
A guidebook and an e-learning course provide the framework for the group’s learning. You will learn how to use these resources to support your group wherever they are in their process and adapt them to your own unique style of delivery.
” As I gained a deeper understanding of the Sitting with Death and Choosing Life stimulus materials, I realised that even though it doesn’t all sit with my own beliefs or philosophy I can still feel comfortable exploring the materials with participants, in a process of inquiry in which we are all encouraged to find and express our own truth. That is a new experience for me.”
-Karen Scott-
You will grow your group leadership skills and capacity
“I have now run four Foundation Courses and the Facilitator Training has helped me to strengthen my delivery. I’m expanding my skills, especially in holding space for others.”
-Sundy Gilchrist–
You will participate in a new paradigm social enterprise and a team committed to living from heart and soul values.
You will recieve income each time you run a course and be part of an ongoing team who are committed to being of service whilst exercising self care. Our intention is to walk our talk and to experiment with how we can live the values of a new culture aligned with thriving life.
“We’re bio-diverse; a team of strong individuals learning to allow, welcome and embrace our different points of view and qualities. It’s freeing to let go of the need to be right.”
-Karen Scott
” I really enjoy being part of a team; being able to have a voice and to listen. I’ve increased my willingness and capacity to hear, to open to and receive other points of view and ideas. I’m expanding my skills in negotiation and co-operation and how to move to win-win solutions. I love that I can risk speaking my truth, knowing I am unconditionally loved and accepted. ”
-Sundy Gilchrist
